See Matthew Spencer in ‘The Woman in Black’ before it bows out of the West End
When solicitor Arthur Kipps is sent to the remote town of Crythin Gifford to attend the funeral of a client, he doesn’t expect to see a mysterious woman dressed in black. As he sorts his client’s papers, he visits her late estate, Eel Marsh House, to uncover what happened. In order to cure his nightmares, Kipps enlists the assistance of an unsuspecting actor to reenact the unsettling things he witnessed.
The quintessential ghost story ‘The Woman in Black’ has terrified audiences at the Fortune Theatre for thirty-three years. When Susan Hill penned the story in 1983, she could never have expected its West End success.
When the play closes in March 2023, it will be the second longest-running play in London, behind ‘The Mousetrap’.
Beg, borrow or steal a ticket to see L&C’s fantastic Matthew Spencer before the last West End show on 4th March.
