Bryony Hannah is a London based actress.
Born in Portsmouth, she spent a few years living in Belgium and later Virginia USA whilst growing up.
Having trained at RADA, Bryony was lucky enough to go straight to the National Theatre. Playing roles in 'War Horse'; 'Every Good Boy Deserves Favour'; 'Earthquakes in London'; and 'Blurred Lines'. West End shows include 'Foxfinder'; and in 'The Children’s Hour' opposite Kiera Knightley and Elizabeth Moss - for which Bryony was nominated for an Olivier Award.
Bryony is perhaps best known on screen for her role as Cynthia in BBC’s 'Call the Midwife'. She spent six happy years deepening her craft with the incredible ensemble of actors and guests.
She also recorded the voice of Padget alongside Mark Rylance in the adorable 'Bing!' animation for CBeebies.
Film credits include Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s 'Cemetery Junction'; the upcoming Steve McQueen film 'Blitz'; and Ridley Scott’s 'The Last Duel'.
Most recently she was back on the National Theatre stage in 'The House of Bernarda Alba', led by Harriet Walter, directed by Rebecca Frecknell.
Bryony can currently be seen as regular character Deirde Kilpatrick in highly anticipated new series Disney+ series 'Rivals'.
