Thalissa Teixeira is a London based Actress, Writer and Director.

Born in Brazil, she is a fluent Portuguese speaker.

After studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Thalissa began her career in theatre earning an Ian Charleson Award nomination for her role in the Old Vic’s production of 'Electra'. Her further stage credits include 'Blood Wedding' (Young Vic), Women Beware Women' and 'Othello' (The Globe) , 'Julie' (National Theatre), 'Yerma; (Young Vic and Park Avenue Armory), 'The Night Watch' (Royal Exchange), 'Dr Semmelweis' (Bristol Old Vic) and 'Julius Caesar' (RSC).

Her screen credits include 'Too Close' (ITV/AMC+), 'Two Weeks to Live' (Sky/HBO+), 'Baghdad Central' (Channel 4/ Hulu), 'Ragdoll' (Alibi/AMC) and 'Anne Boleyn' (Channel 5/AMC) and her breakout role as one of the leads in the BBC limited series 'Trigonometry', earning her recognition as a Screen Daily Star of Tomorrow.

Most recently Thalissa directed, wrote and starred in the short film 'We Met Before' (Girls in Film, GALDEM). The film was screened and nominated at several film festivals including the Aesthetica Short Film Festival and the Underwire Film Festival.

Thalissa is currently on stage in Shakespeare's 'The Taming of the Shew' at the Globe Theatre in London.
